Clinical Supervision

Supervision sessions provide a safe space for counsellors to enhance their clinical skills, develop self-awareness, navigate challenging cases, and ensure ethical practice. I tailor my supervisory style to meet each supervisee's developmental needs. I offer supervision sessions to both trainee and qualified counsellors using the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision as my core framework. This reflective model allows me to provide a multidimensional approach to supervision that examines the therapeutic relationship from various perspectives.

My supervision practice is grounded in creating a supportive, collaborative environment where counsellors can explore their clinical work with depth and clarity. Through the Seven-Eyed Model, I facilitate reflection across the following areas:

  1. Client Focus: Exploring the client's presentation, concerns, and narrative
  2. Intervention Strategies: Examining the therapeutic techniques and interventions used
  3. Therapeutic Relationship: Analysing the dynamics between counsellor and client
  4. Counsellor's Process: Understanding the counsellor's internal experiences and reactions
  5. Supervisory Relationship: Attending to the relationship between myself and the supervisee
  6. Supervisor's Process: Maintaining awareness of my own reactions and responses
  7. Wider Context: Considering ethical, cultural, organisational, and societal influences

Specialist Interest in Neurodivergence

I hold a particular specialist interest in the field of neurodivergence, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurodevelopmental differences. My experience and ongoing professional development in this area allow me to offer specialised supervision to counsellors working with neurodivergent clients or who are neurodivergent themselves.

I support supervisees in developing neuro-affirming therapeutic practices that support clients' unique experiences while addressing the genuine challenges they may face in a neurotypical-dominant society.

I can help counsellors:

  • Recognise and adapt to different communication styles and sensory needs
  • Understand executive functioning challenges and their impact on the therapeutic process
  • Navigate masking behaviors and identity development in neurodivergent clients
  • Adapt traditional therapeutic approaches to better support neurodivergent clients
  • Consider intersectionality between neurodivergence and other aspects of identity

Supervision sessions are offered both online through a secure platform amd face to face at my therapy pod in Southampton. Sessions are priced at the following:

£50 per 60 minute session

£70 per 90 minute session
